Through its actions, the OCNH works for the promotion, protection and defense of human rights in Haiti.

Health problems in prisons affect prisoners but also constitute a potential risk for prison staff and for the health of prisoners, this is particularly true for contagious disease, such as covid-19.

This week the OCNH finalized the preparation of kits for inmates and prison staff in Les Cayes with the financial support of the United Nations Development Program - Haiti

Me Renan HEDOUVILLE, Citizen Protector for his involvement in the fight against human rights violations during the period marked by the spread of Covid-19 in Haiti.

The Organization of Citizens for a New Haiti (OCNH) in collaboration with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and the United Nations Development Program - Haiti launched yesterday Tuesday June 15, 2021 a series of training for the benefit of agents of the Haitian National Police - PNH assigned to the police stations of Les Cayes, Coteaux, Roche à Bateau, Port-Salut, Aquin and Cavaillon, the sub-police station of Damassant as well as the Prison Civile des Cayes, the only incarceration center in the southern department of the country.
