Created in Port-au-Prince on May 1, 2013, in accordance with the amended constitution of March 29, 1987, the Organization of Citizens for a New Haiti-OCNH is a non-profit and apolitical non-governmental organization which works for the promotion, the protection and defense of human rights in Haiti.
The OCNH, an organization committed to a new Haiti
The OCNH was launched by citizen Camille OCCIUS, supported by a dynamic group of men and women eager to contribute to the construction of a Haiti that is more democratic and more respectful of human rights.
The OCNH is committed to promoting good governance and transparency in the management of public finances, to fighting corruption and impunity, to combating violence in all its forms, to promoting human rights and the rule of law, to defend and protect human rights and fundamental freedoms, and to promote the right to identity documentation.
To achieve these goals, the OCNH is developing three (3) activity centers:

Defense and Promotion of Human Rights: The OCNH carries out monitoring, research, publication, advocacy, alert and denunciation activities, education and citizenship training, and psychosocial assistance. , legal and judicial to victims of human rights violations.

Culture of non-violence and peace: The OCNH carries out awareness-raising and advocacy activities for the promotion of non-violence and peace.
